Two brothers, Greg and Bill Powell, joined forces to fill a need in the Swimming Pool Industry for a one-stop-shop for desirable pool financing options and to eliminate the hassle for pool builders to offer financing to their customers.

Bill was a California Licensed Mortgage Broker and Greg had several years of experience working for a national home improvement lender.  At the time, pool financing was offered primarily as secured loans and took a lot of time and know-how to arrange financing for a pool buyer.  The time and effort required by a pool builder to help their customer find a great loan and to manage the loan process was too much. Viking Capital provided them and their customers a far better option. Viking Capital, Inc. was established in 1999 and in less than a year, they hired their first employee and opened an office on Caledonia Street in Sausalito, California.  

Home improvement financing has changed significantly since our company’s inception but Viking Capital’s core values and mission have not.  Today, Viking Capital acts in the capacity of “consultant”, working with lenders to pair pool buyers nationwide with the best swimming pool financing options available. We are proud to partner with the best pool builders in the nation to offer their customers great loans and service and appreciate our long history of referral business.

Bill Powell has retired but Greg Powell continues to lead the Viking Capital family (including a few more Powells) as President.  Viking Capital, Inc. is now headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
